As part of graduating from Stage three at The learning Connexion (where I have been studying full time since october 2005) we had an exhibtion of the work that we had been doing over the past year of the course. This focussed on the process and materials of art rather than being technique or reality based. What a great freedom this gave to explore what happened when you splattered paint or let it run or mixed paint while wet or as in my case…what happens when you wrap fabric in rusty fence posts or nails, or when you bury it in the garden. They have simple running stitch on them as part of the mark making
My exhibition pieces were of two sorts..one textiles and the other using simple print making techniques. I will show the images from the rusted/buried series first.
